Sausage Basil Pasta

ingredients:
italian sausagebroccolimedium pasta shells (or other pasta)basil pestosaltolive oilpepperred crushed pepper flakes
Begin boiling
waterfor the pasta. You can addolive oilandsaltto taste.As the water is boiling you can begin breaking apart the
broccoliheads to use for later.Once the water is boiling add your
pasta.As the pasta boils you can prepare the
italian sausageby either rolling small balls or just breaking it up in to a sort ofground sausage.Pour the
broccoliinto a pan (you can addolive oilto it) and a little bit of water. Cover the pan with a lid. Once you see the broccoli darkening you are done.By this time the Pasta should be done. Take a half cup of the
pasta water. Drain the pasta and pour back into the pot used for boiling. You can add the half cup of water now.You can pour your container of
basil pestointo thepasta potand start mixing. Once satisfied pout in the broccoli and start mixing.In a pan pour a small amount of
olive oil, add your preparedsausageand cover the pan with a lid. You are done once thesausageis browned.Now you can mix in the sausage into the pot and season with pepper and red crushed peppers.
